The English-language human medicine program has undergone accreditation stages and is aligned with EU professional recognition norms (Annex V of the EU Professional Recognition Directive) so that the degree is equivalent in EU member states to other medical qualifications (like the German Staatsexamen).
Listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), and has accreditation relevant for WFME (World Federation for Medical Education) requirements.
Uses ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System); the program is 360 ECTS over six years.
Rankings
It is a new medical campus; so far, it does not appear in major global rankings like QS, THE, etc., specifically under “UMCH” as yet.
It is part of UMFST Târgu Mureș (Romania), which has more established reputation in medical education in the EU; UMCH leverages that connection.
Because of its newness, prestige is partly based on recognition & accreditation rather than long ranking history.
